Root canal treatment is a simple procedure with little to no discomfort - often completed in a single sitting. When tooth decay or trauma damages the pulp (nerve and blood supply), we clean the root canals, fill them with a biocompatible material, and seal the tooth. A crown is placed afterwards to restore full strength. The alternative - extraction - is always the last resort.
Impacted wisdom teeth (third molars) can cause pain, infection, decay of adjacent teeth, and gum disease. Removal is done under local anaesthesia using painless injection technique - you feel pressure, not pain. A special OPG X-ray is required beforehand. Post-operatively, mild swelling for 1–2 days is normal; antibiotics and painkillers manage discomfort.
